If you are injured at work you are entitled to be paid workers compensation benefits for:
- Wage loss. Lost income as a result of your inability to work.
- Medical expenses. Reasonably necessary treatment expenses such as medication, surgery, specialist consultations or physiotherapy.
- Travel expenses. Reasonably necessary travel expenses associated with your medical treatment.
- Domestic assistance. The cost of providing you help at home while you’re injured such as cooking, cleaning and gardening.
- Permanent impairment. A lump sum payment to compensate you for a permanent injury.
